More than any other social media service, Twitter has exploded as a connection and communication point for creative professionals. On a daily basis there are more interesting and creative inspiring links shared on Twitter than on Design Float, Design Bump, VoteTime, and Delicious combined. More design-related topics are discussed on Twitter every day than in most of the oldest and largest mailing lists and bulletin board forums. Though limited to only 140 characters per message, Twitter has risen in only two short years to be the single most important means of networking and communication among the various segments of the creative professional community–and we did it long before @Oprah came to town.

During alpha testing, the Community menu of the Creatives Are Community Toolbar included a direct link to lists of creatives on Twitter compiled by Graham Smith. By the time the Toolbar went into beta, similar but distinct lists by Brandon Cox and Ethan at Grain Edit had been added to the Community menu as well. In just two months of beta testing another several great lists of twittering creative pros also came to my attention. Rather than fill the Community menu of the Toolbar with links to “Creatives on Twitter,” “More Creatives on Twitter,” “Even More Creatives on Twitter,” and “Yes, Yet More Creatives on Twitter,” I created this blog post to link to the other lists.
