Soon for Safari: Creatives Are Community Toolbar

I am extremely pleased to announce that I’ve just entered into alpha testing of the Creatives Are Community Toolbar for installation in Safari. At the moment, it only works with Safari on the Mac, which many believe to be the coolest, fastest, most stable browser available for Mac OSX. Assuming the alpha testing goes well on OSX, the next step will be test the Toolbar in Safari for Windows, and later to enter a public beta phase.

If you’ve been jealous that all those Firefox/Camino and IE users get to use the Creatives Are Community Toolbar while Safari fans can’t, take heart: a Safari version is coming!

Hi, Andrew. Yes, I did say “At the moment, it only works with Safari on the Mac,” but in the sentence right before it I said: “I’ve just entered into alpha testing of the Creatives Are Community Toolbar for installation in Safari.” Alpha testing is closed testing; I have not yet made the Safari version of the toolbar accessible for public installation and testing because it’s not yet ready for that stage. I’m still working on it. It’s coming, though!

I downloaded and installed the toolbar, thinking it would appear on firefox since Sfari is not yet supported. To my surprise after the install Safari opened with the toolbar on it and now it keeps crashing everytime its opened. During your installation there is no way to select a specific browser, how can I fix this??

I have installed your toolbar and now I can hardly use Safari it’s that slow. You are stating that an uninstaller is included. Where is that uninstaller?

I have this installed on safari 4.
    I hate it!
    I want to uninstall,
    How do I uninstall it?
Who the hell distributes software without a uninstall option?

btw, your logo is a trade mark infringement with the Handmark logo.

I plan to point it out to them, as a penalty for not putting a clear uninstall function into the the package.

    Jerks!

Please tell me how to uninstall this! I also thought it would install in Firefox but it did in Safari on my Mac. I have tried to open Safari 25 times since I installed it but it keeps crashing. How do I get this off my laptop???

    Patty,

We’re working to get it fixed under Safari, but about 30% of Safari users still have bad experiences with it. I’m so sorry you’re among the 30%. Here’s how to uninstall it:

This is how you can uninstall the Safari toolbar:
    1. Open the Finder application and browse to Applications.
    2. Scroll down to Toolbars and click on CreativesAreToolbar.
    3. Double-click on “Uninstall”.
    4. Fill in the “User name & Password” and click the OK button.
